Library Liaison

Answer

Library Liaison

The Library Directors - Information Literacy serve as subject-based points of contact for faculty and staff. They participate in the program lifecycle as experts in information literacy and the research process. They build and recommend content related to information literacy and research skills, are thought partners in the research components of assignments, are trainers and consultants in the use and sourcing of library resources, and help connect their constituents with other library experts as needed.

University Campus Liaisons

UC library liaisons work with faculty members in several different areas:

  • Collection Development – The library liaison works with faculty and staff members to develop the library's book, journal, and media collections and serve on University and School Curriculum Committees. You can contact your library liaison if you have a suggested resource for the library or would like to discuss the library's current and future collection in your subject area.
  • Research Assistance – The librarian liaison assists with database searches and other research needs. Your librarian liaison can work with you and your students to find the highest quality and most reliable resources available.
  • Instruction – The librarian liaison works with faculty members to teach workshops and demonstrations on library resources and services. They will work with the faculty to create library assignments, library/literature guides, and other activities that lead to student success.
