NOTE: If you currently have an open Interlibrary Loan request, please CHECK YOUR SNHU EMAIL every day in case we need to contact you about your request. Due to current reduced staffing, we recommend allowing the maximum time possible for processing your ILL requests.


Interlibrary loan staff most often cancel requests when we cannot find a library that can provide the requested item.  We may also cancel requests that we cannot fill by the date specified in the “Cancel if not filled by” field on your ILL request.

If ILL staff fill a book request via purchase, whether in eBooks or print format, we still must cancel the ILL request, and send a cancelation email, as the request is filled via a method outside the usual ILL workflow.

In each of the above cases, we will communicate the reason for cancelation via email.

You can cancel any request with a status of Submitted at any time via your ILL user portal This link opens in a new window.

NOTE: Please check your SNHU email at least daily until you receive your copy request or your loan request is returned. We may need to contact you for clarification or updates about your request.
