Students are encouraged to try a workshop or drop-in tutoring first, and then book a personalized 1:1 appointment with a coach or peer tutor if they need further support. Tutoring sessions range in time from 30 - 45 minutes.
Coaches and Peer Tutoring
Pre-scheduled appointments with coaches and/or peer tutors can be very effective for students needing to build particular skills over time.
- Coaches are experienced professionals who can help counsel students as they move through different courses over several terms.
- Peer tutors are knowledgeable students who have excelled in similar coursework and can assist students with the skills they need in the shorter-term.
- Follow-up appointments allow students to learn skills over time as they check in with their coach and/or tutor.
Drop-in tutoring is provided by our partners NetTutor and Smarthinking, and is designed to help students who have one-time questions about an assignment or skill.
