FAQ: May I make copies of a work-book for the students in my class instead of making them purchase it?

Typically, “consumable” works, such as student workbooks, do not fall under the fair use exception to copyright rules. Therefore, you probably may not make copies of workbooks in place of asking students to purchase the workbooks.
