SNHU Library Frequently Asked Questions: Accessibility
If there is an accessibility issue found with a library resource, how can faculty/staff get assistance?
Answer
If there is an accessibility issue found with a library resource, how can faculty/staff get assistance?
If you discover an accessibility issue with a library resource you would like to use in a course, please fill out the Library Resource Accessibility Inquiry This link opens in a new window form. A librarian will reach out to the vendor of that content and request an accessible version of the material under the terms of our electronic information technology (EIT) agreement. Remediation and alternative formats are provided at the discretion of each vendor/publisher. In the event that librarians can easily fix accessibility issues in documents, we will do so. Otherwise, librarians will keep you up to date on the status of the requests, but note that timelines will vary depending on vendor and publisher. When possible, we ask that the vendor update the content to be more accessible in their platform. When not possible, we have established protocols for adding the accessible content to the Brightspace Learning Object Repository.
