You can use the Online Library Catalog to search for a book by the author’s name.

  1. From within the Online Library Catalog, click on the dropdown menu next to the search box and choose “Author” from the list.
  2. Enter the author’s last name and then the first name, without separating by commas. For example, if you are looking for a book by Malcolm Gladwell, type in “Gladwell Malcolm.”

  3. If there are multiple authors with the same name, the catalog will return a list of results. For example, if you are looking for books written by Michael Watkins, type in “Watkins Michael” and the catalog will return this list.
  4. Choose an author from the list by clicking on the name, and the catalog will display books written by that author.

Alternatively, you can also use the Multi-Search on the library home page to search for books and articles by the author’s name.

You can also search for eBooks and articles by author’s name in the individual library databases listed in the A-Z Database List. In most databases, choose the “Advanced Search” option and select “Author” from the dropdown menu provided.
