A variety of demographic data, including age by income, can be found through SRDS Media Planning Platform's Nielsen Segmentation & Market Solutions:
- Select A-Z Database List on the library homepage under "Quick Links"
- Choose "S" from the alphabet
- Find SRDS Media Planning Platform on the list of databases available there.
- Click “Log in” in the upper right-hand corner
- Click “Claritas 360” in the navigation bar
- You will then have to click the purple “Login to Claritas 360” button in the center of the screen.
- Once you are in Claritas 360, click the “Reports” box
- Click on “Standard Reports”
- Click on “Demographic Reports”
- Click on “Pop-Facts Household Income By Age of Householder.” You will be brought to a screen where you can select report options.
- In the box with green folders, click on the blue arrow next to the “County (CTY)” folder, and then navigate through the sub-folders until you identify the county you are interested in.
- If you click on the folder icon you will search all counties in the U.S.
- Click on the county name to move it into the “User Selections” box, which will include it in your search.
- Next click the green “Submit” button at the bottom right of the screen.
- Click on “Go to my jobs” in the pop-up that appears.
- It may take a few minutes for your report to generate. When it is ready it will appear in the “My Jobs” area.
- To view your report, click on the blue report number.
- Click on “Report Output (format you selected)”
- The report will include data drawn from the 2000 Census, 2016 estimates, and 2023 projections.
- Please delete your report from the “My Jobs” area after you have downloaded it.
