Investext contains reports on publicly traded companies and industries. The reports are written by analysts at investment banks and independent research firms from across the globe. They include valuable insights for general company or industry research.
Investext includes over 300,000 annual reports from globally listed companies, with archived reports for over 20 years. It also analyzes key industries covering North America, Asia/Pacific, Europe, and Latin America by country and region.
You can access Investext through Mergent ONLINE by following these steps:
- Select A-Z Database List on the library homepage under "Quick Links"
- Choose "M" from the alphabet
- Find "Mergent ONLINE" on the list of databases available there.
- Click on Investext in the Navigation tabs. It is the last tab on the right.
You can then search for a company by ticket symbol or name (NOTE: the search defaults to ticker – you must change it to search by name).
You can also search by creating a set of criteria that includes country, industry, etc. To do this you can use the pulldown next to the search box to select the categories you want added to your criteria. Selecting individual elements will add those criteria to the “Search criteria” box. When you have the criteria you want press search in the box.
