Accessing Key Business Ratios
You can access Key Business Ratios (KBR) through Mergent INTELLECT This link opens in a new window by following these steps:
- Select A-Z Database List on the library homepage under "Quick Links"
- Choose "M" from the alphabet
- Find "Mergent INTELLECT" on the list of databases available there
- Once on the Mergent INTELLECT page, scroll down until you see "Key Business Ratios"
Using Key Business Ratios
Guides
Key Business Ratios provides three types of help guides. To find them:
- Click on Help in the top right portion of the page.
- You can choose from the Online Help Guide, Quick Reference Guide, or Ratio Guide.
- The Online Help Guide provides screenshots with the basic functions of KBR explained.
- The Quick Reference Guide (PDF) has more detailed instructions and is also illustrated with screenshots.
- The Ratio Guide (PDF) describes the various types of ratios.
Step-by-Step
- Click the Ratios link on the top right of the page.
- Select either a SIC code, enter a NAICS code, or select a Line of Business. Other criteria include Asset Range and Year.
- Indicate which group of ratios you would like to display (Solvency, Efficiency, or Profitability). Solvency is selected by default.
