To create a list of companies in the Mergent Market Atlas This link opens in a new window database, look below the main search box on the Mergent Market Atlas home page to the "Search by Company Characteristics" section:
You have the option to search by country, state, exchange, SIC, NAICS or ICB classification data. Additional optional criteria include revenue and employee count. You must select at least one option in order to run the search. Use the View Results button to view the companies that meet your search criteria.
In the following example, we have selected "Arizona" for the state, changed the industry classification to "Primary NAICS" by clicking the radio button, and then selected "2122 Metal Ore Mining." We will then click the "View Results" button to see the list of companies that meet that criteria:
Our search results shows us a list of 11 companies in Arizona that meet this industry criteria:
You can customize the search further by adding more variables, and you can also customize the output options. For more information on advanced searching, see Mergent Market Atlas's help page: Home/Search This link opens in a new window.
