APA treats UpToDate This link opens in a new window as a periodical, similar to a journal article, but with a few important differences with the source information due to how the content is published:
- Include the database name (UpToDate) because the content is only published and accessed within this platform.
- Include a retrieval date because UpToDate content is continuously updated and earlier versions are not archived. This is before the URL.
