The SNHU Academic Support Center provides a sample paper for Chicago Style This link opens in a new window. Here are some general guidelines that you can follow:
General Guidelines
- 1" margins on all four sides
- Times New Roman; 12 pt. font
- Double-space text, except for:
- block quotations
- notes
- bibliography entries
- table titles
- figure captions
- A quotation that is either five or more lines, or over 100 words is a block quotation.
- Do not use quotation marks
- Begin the quotation on a new line
- Block quotations are indented
- Page Numbers:
- Begin page numbers of the first page of text (not the title page)
- Begin the page numbers at 1
- Page numbers are in the header and justified right
