NOTE: If you currently have an open Interlibrary Loan request, please CHECK YOUR SNHU EMAIL every day in case we need to contact you about your request. Due to current reduced staffing, we recommend allowing the maximum time possible for processing your ILL requests.

The three request forms available to users are “Article or Chapter”, “Book”, and “Other” (which allows you to request material from a variety of formats).

The Library does not fill requests for textbooks or required course texts.  Please contact the Campus Store This link opens in a new window to obtain these materials in print or electronic format.

The following materials are usually not available through interlibrary loan:

  • reference books
  • dissertations and theses
  • rare or valuable materials such as manuscripts
  • bound periodical volumes
  • printed newspapers
  • textbooks
  • materials on reserve
  • group use materials
  • tests

Print books and physical media owned by the Shapiro Library may be requested from the Online Library Catalog and either delivered to your home address or held for pickup at Shapiro Library. We do not currently have an option for delivery to faculty and staff at the Millyard or Elm Street office locations—if you would like your items delivered to either location, please select “Off-Campus Postal Delivery” and identify your location in the “Please enter any special instructions:” field.

Please contact us at library@snhu.libanswers.com if you have questions regarding the availability of specific items.

NOTE: Please check your SNHU email at least daily until you receive your copy request or your loan request is returned. We may need to contact you for clarification or updates about your request.

For more information, please view our ILL FAQs.

Still have questions or concerns? You can contact the Interlibrary Loan Office via email at ill@snhu.edu.
