NOTE: If you currently have an open Interlibrary Loan request, please CHECK YOUR SNHU EMAIL every day in case we need to contact you about your request. Due to current reduced staffing, we recommend allowing the maximum time possible for processing your ILL requests.
Book Requests
- Off-campus/distance students must provide the postal address where they prefer to receive their interlibrary loan books and media.
- The borrower is responsible for all items from the moment they are mailed from Shapiro Library until the moment they are received back at Shapiro Library. This responsibility includes the physical condition of items and any replacement or processing costs that may be incurred.
- The Library will include a pre-addressed Library Mail return label as well as pre-paid postage in the package for the borrower’s convenience.
- The Library highly recommends adding USPS Tracking to packages or using a parcel delivery service (e.g., FedEx or UPS) for returns.
Article and Book Chapter Requests
- Articles and book chapters will be delivered electronically to your ILL user portal This link opens in a new window.
- When the request is filled, you will receive an email with the subject line “Article available in Article Exchange.” You may click the link in the email and enter the included password to view the article immediately, or you may log in to your ILL user portal and click the “Available to view” link next to the request information.
- You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader This link opens in a new window in order to open and read your documents.
