NOTE: If you currently have an open Interlibrary Loan request, please CHECK YOUR SNHU EMAIL every day in case we need to contact you about your request. Due to current reduced staffing, we recommend allowing the maximum time possible for processing your ILL requests.
The average article request is filled in around 4 days, though many article requests are filled within 1 or 2 business days. Requests for books and other loaned items may take longer as these items must be mailed to the Shapiro Library; most books and media are received within 5-15 business days.
For speedy service, be sure to supply accurate and complete citation information when requesting material. You will be notified via email if there is a foreseeable delay with your requests. Off-campus borrowers requesting books or media be mailed to a home address should note that the material must first be mailed to the Shapiro Library before we can ship it to an off-campus address. This process takes at least 5 days, and may take several weeks.
To provide faster service, we will fill book requests with eBook editions whenever possible.
NOTE: Please check your SNHU email at least daily until you receive your copy request or your loan request is returned. We may need to contact you for clarification or updates about your request.
