FAQ: I'm having trouble using ScienceDirect -- it's asking me to login or pay?

ScienceDirect only functions correctly using Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox on the Microsoft Windows operating systems.  For Mac users, try using Safari as your browser. Please see their internet browser requirements page for more information. This link opens in a new window

If you are trying to open an article in ScienceDirect after you have logged in with your SNHU email and you are asked to "pay" for the article, you may try right-clicking on the article PDF and saving it to your desktop. Then open the article from your desktop to view it.  

If none of the above suggestions resolved the issue, try checking the status of ScienceDirect to determine if the problem may be due to a known issue that we are working to correct, if ScienceDirect may be down or disrupted for maintenance, if there is an outage, etc. or report the problem.
