There are no specific formats for outlines in Chicago style - please ask your professor if they have a preferred format. The OWL at Purdue provides these general guidelines for creating an outline that you may want to use or you can talk to your instructor about how they'd like outlines to be formatted.
- EasyBib Reference Guide (EasyBib)
- Chicago Style Guide (Shapiro Library)
- Chicago/Turabian Manual of Style Training (Atomic Learning - log in using your SNHU email username and password) NOTE: these videos refer to the 16th edition.
For further help please contact the Wolak Learning Center at 603.645.9606 (UC/On Campus Students) and Online Writing Center at 866.721.1662 (Online/COCE Students) for assistance with formatting an outline in Chicago Style.
This information is intended to be a guideline, not expert advice. Please be sure to speak to your professor about the appropriate way to format outlines in your class assignments and projects.
