How do I build a permanent or stable link to articles in ScienceDirect?

1. Perform a search in ScienceDirect This link opens in a new windowand locate your desired article.
2. Click on the title of your chosen article to view the html text (if you are coming from the Full Text Finder, choose view the record page).
3. There are two acceptable ways to build links using Science Direct. You may use the DOI URL or the URL from your browser's address bar. Both need can have the OpenAthens authentication added. Either is acceptable. Locate and copy the DOI URL underneath the article title and authors OR the URL from your address bar.
4. Copy and paste the DOI URL OR the address bar URL into the OpenAthens Generator This link opens in a new window.
5. Use the generated URL in the LMS.
