Library Book Search
If you are searching in the Library Book Search, your search results will only include print books and other physical materials in the library. You need to know a book's call number to get it off the shelf in the library.
- From the results page:
- The status, location, and call number are located underneath the information about the book:
Not sure how to find a book by the call number? You can contact the reference desk at ask@snhu.libanswers.com
Off-campus students can request books from the circulating collection through the Library Book Search for delivery through the US Postal Service. More information about this service can be found in our Off-Campus Library Services Information guide.
Multi-Search
If you are searching in the Multi-Search, your search results may include a combination of print books and eBooks from our online eBook databases.
If the book that you would like to read is an eBook, you can open and read it by:
- From the results page:
- Clicking on the "Access Now (eBook)" link under the list of subject terms OR look for the “Access Options” link which will list PDF or EPUB full-text versions:
-
From the eBook record page:
- You may also click on the title of the eBook which will take you to that book's record with more detailed information:
- Once you do that, look for either the “Access Now (eBook)” link or the “Access Options" button near the top of the record to view the full text. There is also an option to download the eBook as well.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Reference Desk if you have any questions or problems accessing a print or eBook.
